Malappuram: Kerala Revenue Minister A P Anil Kumar on Tuesday launched a Single Sign-On (SSO) portal for revenue department officials, saying the initiative would make government services faster, more transparent and citizen-friendly.
Launching the state-level rollout of the portal at a district-level review meeting here, the minister said the system, developed using India government's Jan Parichay platform in collaboration with the union and state governments, would enable officials to access multiple digital applications through a single login using their official email IDs.
The new system would eliminate the need for separate user IDs and passwords for different applications, reducing delays caused by repeated logins and forgotten passwords, he said.
In the first phase, the portal integrates key revenue department services, including land-related services, Digital Revenue Card, Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Covid ex gratia, the Endosulfan victims' compensation portal and so on.
The remaining revenue applications would be brought under the platform in the final phase, the minister said.
He said the initiative would reduce the workload of officials and help ensure quicker and more transparent delivery of services to the public.
Addressing the review meeting, Kumar also directed officials to dispose of pending files in the department at the earliest and ensure time-bound delivery of services, including land title deeds (pattayam), digital services and revenue adalats.
The minister also instructed officials to prepare a special action plan to expedite the distribution of pending land titles in the district, with special focus on tribal and coastal areas, and ensure that people visiting revenue offices receive prompt and courteous service.
According to an official statement, 42,141 land title deeds have been distributed in Malappuram district since 2021, while 17,608 applications remain pending. Of these, steps are under way to distribute 2,057 title deeds as part of the government's 100-day programme.
